The Hackney Beltex flock was established in 2000 to produce quality prime lambs for showing as well as for winter carcass competitions.

Breeding ewes currently number nearly 50 with Airyolland La Grand (bought for 3200gns) and Ardstewart Lightening MacQueen (bought for 3000gns) running as the two flock sires.

Show success to date has included lamb carcass champion at the National Primestock Show in 2008, reserve carcass champion at the same event in the 90’s and carcass pairs champion at the Welsh Winter Fair in 2001.

Tups are sold from home with tup lambs will be available at major sales in 2010. The flock is MV accredited.

Hackney Limousin

The Hackney herd of pedigree Limousin cattle was established by Paul in 2000 with the purchase of a maiden heifer Bradwell Marchoness for just £450 at Banbury Market. Marchoness is by Bradwell Hijack and is out of Bradwell Happy and now has 18 descendents of hers in the herd to date including 10 daughters and granddaughters.

Her first daughter Hackney Princess by Daim was breed calf champion at the Devon county Show in 2000 as well as breed champion at Honiton.

All females are breeding well in the herd and are bred to AI sires including Daim, Malibu, Ronick Hawk, Ocean, Ionesco, Neuf and Grange Valparaiso.
